ARAX has partnered with the Municipality of Tuzla, Romania, to launch the DePIN project, aimed at turning the city into a smart urban hub using blockchain, IoT, and AI technologies. The project will be implemented in three phases, starting with planning and feasibility studies, followed by the deployment of renewable energy-powered streetlights in the second phase. These streetlights will be connected through the Lunaº Mesh network, providing robust IoT connectivity.
The Lunaº Mesh network operates as a decentralized network, ensuring secure communications through encrypted blockchain-based communication. The Smart Asset Monitoring System (SAMS) enables real-time data streaming and monitoring, enhancing the intelligence of various assets in the city. The third phase of the project focuses on expanding the network of intelligent streetlights and integrating additional smart city solutions such as smart parking and waste management.
The success of the DePIN project in Tuzla relies on strong private-public partnerships that bring together ARAX, the municipality, and the public to share resources, knowledge, and responsibilities. This collaboration model incentivizes residents and businesses to contribute to the city’s digital infrastructure, promoting community engagement and equitable distribution of economic benefits. Core Blockchain’s decentralized technology plays a crucial role in underwriting tokens/coins, embedding governance, and supporting secure blockchain-based TradeFi systems in the project.
The DePIN project in Tuzla represents a groundbreaking approach to urban management and infrastructure development, setting a benchmark for smart cities globally. By leveraging ARAX’s advanced technologies, the project aims to prioritize sustainability, efficiency, and community involvement. The collaboration between ARAX and the Municipality of Tuzla, supported by the public, is essential for achieving the common goals of sustainability, efficiency, and innovation in urban development.
